14 Patient Decision Aids are now live (10 January 2013)New PDAs are now being released frequently. Access them all at sdm.rightcare.nhs.uk, and please promote and share the PDAs across your networks. App versions of most of the PDAs are now available for Android devices. Â

New Patient Decision Aids put patients at the heart of decisions about their treatment (19 September 2012)The national Shared Decision Making Programme is today (19 Sept) launching five new Patient Decision Aids, supporting patients to have more say in their healthcare. Patients are not always made aware of all the available treatment options, and these new Patient Decision Aids present the information they need so they can weigh up the pros and cons and be fully involved in choosing the treatment which best suits their needs, values and preferences. |

Delivering ‘no decision about me, without me’ in partnership with the voluntary sector (16 July 2012)We are delighted to have been given the opportunity by the Department of Health to engage with its Voluntary Sector Strategic Partners, who speak on behalf of and represent charities across the country. The voluntary sector has an excellent track record of supporting clients with health decisions, and we are keen to encourage their involvement in the shared decision making agenda. The Department invited us to give a presentation on 13 June in which we highlighted the programme’s latest developments. We are also co-hosting a national conference on 16 July to widen the conversation to a broader audience from the voluntary sector. We have invited organisations from across the disease specific groups, along with those which support specific groups, such as older people.If you work in the voluntary sector and would like to know more about this conference, which is free to attend, please visit the |
