The QIPP Right Care Workstream has a focus on: Population Planning and Programme Budgeting; reducing unwarranted variation and; Population medicine – the clinician focussed on all the patients, not just those referred. The Right Care public Health Colloquia are about designing a healthcare public health service able to support commissioners in acheiving these objectives.

- system design and network building
- helping specialists develop epidemiological skills
Right Care is sponsoring a series of Public Health Colloquia, each building on the outputs of the former, to bring together those with an interest in commissioning population health from the fields of primary care and public health. the Colloquia will looked at the levers, opportunities and risks in the new systems being established which could help or hinder progress for GP commissioning in their delivery of population health outcomes and effective health care.
